Background

Natural rubber is a “Strategic Material,” which means that it is critical to national security. Yet we don’t produce any rubber here in America. Our reliance on overseas rubber suppliers exposes our country to numerous security risks. American Sustainable Rubber seeks to solve this issue by producing natural rubber in the U.S. at a commercial and sustainable level through a genetically modified rubber source.
