Background

Since its inception in 2001, Backstar Creative Media had livestreamed over 2,000 business events.


Challenge

Develop a new name for Backstar Creative Media that affirms its leadership in webcasting.


Solution

In speaking with Backstar team members and clients, something that jumped out at me right away is the importance of planning. There are a plethora of details that go into any successful webcast. If any of them are not properly attended to, the webcast can fail and all is lost. There are no re-do’s when you’re capturing live events, like the maiden flight of a new Boeing aircraft. So, what my client is really selling is assurance that the webcast is going to be successful. Hire my client and you can sleep well the night before the event. The name SureCast emerged from that line of thinking and the client immediately connected with it.


Outcome

SureCast’s sales in the year since the name change have exceeded any other 12-month period since the company’s inception in 2001.
